Playing catch-up reading through the threads?

Or perhaps another member who is online may reply to your latest post in the next few minutes??

Why not break up the reading & the waiting with a game or two between topics

Click the ‘Arcade’ link in the navigation box (upper left of the main front page) or click this link instead…

  User Clean-up

Some of you may have noticed that we have had an influx of "international users" registering with our forum. Also a number of users with "no origin" listed (but with bizarre usernames.... )

The bottom line is, that these "users" were not 'humans' registering. They were the result of programs written/purchased by financially motivated organisations registering as users, the profiles of which contained advertising / spamming material.

As such these 'users' have been deleted! (ZAP!)

So, we now have only true advanced / budding advanced / genuinely interested people registered on this forum.

I have added measures to prevent this happening on such a large scale again.

  Avatars Now Enabled

Dear RoADAR community,

With a view to making your forum that bit more interesting, we have enabled user 'Avatars' (A small image that you can add to your profile).

Now, if you have an avatar added to your profile, your avatar will be displayed directly under your username in your posts. The idea is to allow users to add a personal touch to their profile for other forum users to see & enjoy.

Adding an avatar is easy...all you need to do is to chose your favourite image (if the image is not your original work, then please get permission before using it). Your avatar can be either a bitmap image (.bmp) or graphical interchange format (.gif) or Joint Photographic Experts Group (.jpeg / .jpg). Be sure that your image is 100x100pixels or less.

If your image is too big then you can use MS paint to squash it down a bit....'stretch/skew' in the paint menus.

Log in as usual, and then click 'profile' from the menu at the top of the forum page. Scroll down to the bottom of the profile settings-list and click the "UPLOAD" button next to the ‘Upload Avatar from your machine:' heading, and then browse your machine for your chosen avatar.

Bobs your uncle...and your ‘pickie’ will be displayed with your username on all of your posts...you can change your avatar at any time. So don’t be shy!!!

Follow Bones' example, s/he has sorted their avatar out already!!
That reminds me....I must get one too!

Enjoy! Laughing

Use of any information on this board is done so AT YOUR OWN RISK. While we may at time respond to posts, RoADA North East makes no warrants or claims regarding the validity of any information posted by users on this board nor do we review posts for accuracy of information.

This board is moderated by RoADA North East member moderators and we request that you please be respectful when interacting with our moderating team. RoADA North East has a 3 strikes policy. Users will only receive 2 warnings during any rolling 3 month period. Any incidents beyond this will result in a permanent ban of the user's account. Please follow these guidelines carefully.

PRIVATE MESSAGES. Please do not use the PM system to ask technical questions of the moderators or admins. Technical questions PM'd to the moderators and admins will go unanswered. Instead, post your question in the appropriate forum for assistance from other members and board moderators.

NO OBSCENE LANGUAGE. This board is intended for family use. Please refrain from using any vulgar language that would offend someone else. Inappropriate words will be edited.

NO OBSCENE MATERIAL. Please, no pornographic material or links to it. If it is not fit for family members, it is not fit for here. DON'T DO IT! We have a ZERO tolerance policy on this one.

NO PERSONAL INSULTS or ATTACKS. RoADA North East provides this site for our users to gather and discuss RoadCraft driving techniques. You are free to disagree with others, but if you stoop to personal abuse or attacks, your post(s) will be deleted. If you ARE insulted please report the post, but DO NOT retaliate.

NO TROLLING OR FLAME WARS.Trolling and/or attempting to bait others into a flame war will not be tolerated. Any posts we deem to fall in this category will be deleted.

NO DUPLICATE OR REPEAT POSTS. If no-one answers your question or responds to your post, please "bump" it rather than posting it again. Posting the same question over and over or in every forum will just annoy people and will not get answers.

USE APPROPRIATE TITLES. Titles like Help Me, or I'm Stuck serve little value in a forum. Try to be short but descriptive when submitting your post.

NO ILLEGAL SUGGESTIONS. Respect the copyrights of other people, websites, software and printed media. Please no pointers, how-to’s, advocating any illegal activity. Posts regarding such things as warez, crackz etc. will be deleted and the user warned.

NO ADVERTISING/SPAM or SOLICITATION. Do not use this site as a redirector or gateway to another site for the purpose of collecting click income or advertising. Although there are times when a link to another site is necessary for helping or answering a question, this site reserves the right to determine what is and is not SPAM. Any SPAM will be immediately deleted and the user warned. Likewise, this is not your personal "for sale" board to advertise items. There are other sites out there that will allow you to sell your items.

NO IMAGES. RoADA North East has decided to restrict the uploading of any images on our servers. However, you are free to post links to hosted images on your own servers. Please remember, no pornographic or obscene material of any kind.

SIGNATURES and USER NAMES. While we have allowed the use of signatures as a form of expression, graphics in signatures should be no larger than 100 pixels high by 700 pixels wide. An additional 2 lines of text are allowed but must be size small (size=1). If using text only, keep lines to no more than 7 in small size text. File size should be no greater than 150KB this includes any text or images used in your signature. Signatures outside this limit will be edited and/or removed. Please remember, no pornographic, obscene or controversial subject matter of any kind (this includes political commentary).

This forum is here solely for express purpose of supporting current and future members of RoADA North East.

Any post/thread that RoADA North East deems inappropriate for family viewing will be dealt with accordingly. If you have any questions about actions taken against a post/thread please PM the appropriate forum's Moderator(s). Please remember that this is a family-oriented message board. All rule violations will be dealt with swiftly, up to and including a permanent ban of the user account. We reserve the right to edit/delete posts/threads at our discretion.
